U.S. Ambassador to Maldives calls on President-elect
Ambassador of the United States to the Maldives, Hugo Yue-Ho Yon has paid a courtesy call on President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizz.
During the ceremony was held on Thursday, Ambassador Hugo Yon expressed hope that the ties between Maldives and the U.S. will be further strengthened and taken to new heights, during the upcoming leadership of Dr. Muizz.
The ambassador further expressed assurance that the U.S. government will continue to assist and support the Maldivian government, in multiple fields.
The U.S. Ambassador went on to assure that the American government will extend their full support and cooperation for Maldives in several areas of potential cooperation to further strengthen ties between the two countries as well as for the further progress of the development of Maldives.
He expressed hope that the new embassy established during the administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih would further expand these efforts.
