Two stabbings occurred in Male’ on Wednesday night.
Police had confirmed the stabbings.
Police said that first case, which occurred near Vilingili ferry terminal, was reported at around 8.35pm. The next stabbings, which occurred near Alcyon bakery in Maafannu ward, was reported around 9.45pm.
Police say the cases were under investigation but revealed no details on the severity of the injuries.
The number of stabbings have increased in the past weeks with no resolution to the issue.
