A woman has been reported missing from Vilimalé.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) launched a search operation for the woman, who was reported missing to the authorities at around 10:25am on Saturday.
The missing woman has been identified as Athifa Abdulla, 53.
The police institution cited the woman’s family having revealed that she was last seen at her residence in Vilimalé, at around 10:45pm on Friday.
The family reported that she was wearing a green dress and a pink shawl, at the time she went missing.
The police institution has urged the public to reach out to their hotline 3322111 or the Vilimalé Police Station at 9790083 to share any information on the woman’s whereabouts, if attained.
