The man who was reported missing from Villingili island of Gaaf Alif atoll, has turned up.
Assad Ahmed, a native of Villingili, was reported missing on June 15.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) launched an island-wide search operation with the assistance of island residents and the island council shortly after.
The police institution revealed that the man returned home on his own, while search operations were underway.
Although no further details of his disappearance have been disclosed, the authority revealed that he returned home, safe and unharmed.
Assad works in construction with the expatriates residing on the island.
