The Health Center Expansion Project of Lhohi island in Noonu Atoll and Guraidhoo island in Thaa Atoll, have been handed over to private companies.
The Ministry of Health, handed over the Health Center Expansion Project of Lhohi island to the Kilometer Engineering Pvt Ltd and the Health Center Expansion Project of Th. Guraidhoo to Coastal Engineering Solution Pvt Ltd.
Senior Executive Director, Abdul Hannaan Hussain, signed the agreements on behalf of the Ministry.
In addition to the expansion of the Health Centers, the project also include construction of the surrounding wall of the Health Centers.
The projects are to be completed within 120 days.
The value of the Health Center Expansion Project of Lhohi island is MVR 2.5 million and the value of the Health Center Expansion Project of Th. Guraidhoo is MVR 3.2 million.
To boost the health system, the government is expanding the space of rural health centers and constructing tertiary hospitals.
