First Lady Fazna Ahmed has urged parents and guardians to be good role models for their children, in all aspects of life.

She made this appeal during the graduation ceremony of Kangaroo Kids International Preschool 2022-2023, held at Dharubaaruge on Thursday.

Taking the podium at the event, FL Fazna urged parents and guardians to promote kindness, honesty, and responsibility by being good role models for their children.

The first lady shed light on many significant areas where parents and guardians could serve as role models for their children, including in social relations, health-related practices, adherence to traffic regulations, and prioritizing environment protection and conservation.

Noting that parents and guardians play a vital role in instilling positive values and good behavior in children, the first lady pushed them to be mindful of the messages they are sending to their children.

Further, shedding light on the importance of all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and other adults, in setting good examples for the positive development of children's personalities, the first lady stressed on the importance of small actions like providing nutritious meals, promoting cleanliness and environment protection, conserving energy, and teaching good manners and daily routines.

FL Fazna stated that regardless of their abilities, inclusive education is essential for ensuring that all children have access to quality education.

She requested the cooperation of schools and parents to promote inclusive education.

The ceremony saw FL Fazna conferring trophies and certificates to the graduates of Kangaroo Kids International Preschool.

This year, a total of 243 students graduated from the school.
