Three individuals have been arrested under allegations of attacking an officer of the Maldives Police Service (MPS).

The police institution revealed that arrested in connection with the case are a 20-year-old, a 21-year-old and a 25-year-old.

The suspects were presented to the Criminal Court for their remand hearing on Saturday.

The Criminal Court remanded the three individuals by seven days.

The three suspects are accused of assaulting a law enforcement officer and damaging property.

The case is currently under further investigation.
