The Bank of Maldives (BML) has made a generous donation to the children’s shelter located in Hulhumalé.

The country’s national bank in a statement issued on Tuesday, revealed that their donation includes educational toys and books, for the children at the ‘Fiyavathi Shelter’ to enjoy.

Through this initiative, employees of the national bank have extended their spirit of giving to positively impact the community.

The donation included toys, books, art and craft materials, stationaries, board games, puzzles and many other items that the children at the shelter can enjoy.

During Ramadan 1443, employees of BML made a donation of essential food items for the ‘Help a Family’ initiative organized by MOMS to support vulnerable families.

The bank has also made donations to the Advocating for the Rights of Children (ARC) AID programme over the course of the past three years, to assist vulnerable families during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit organization that advocates for the health, safety, education, and wellbeing of children all over the Maldives. The NGO has been active since December 2009.
