Bank of Maldives has announced the successful completion of three projects under the bank's Community Fund initiative.

BML disclosed that they have successfully completed the projects in Hulhudheli Island in Dhaalu Atoll, Mundoo Island in Laamu Atoll and Fonadhoo Island in Laamu Atoll.

As such, under the Community Fund, a fish filleting platform was established in Hulhudheli Island. BML highlights that this will be utilized by the fishermen and the residents of the island.

The project was initiated by Hulhudheli Island Society and Sports Association.

Additionally, a waiting area at the harbor was developed in Mundoo Island. The waiting area is equipped with huts and wooden benches to provide shade and a resting area for residents and travelers

The project was conducted by Mundoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya.

The project in Fonadhoo Island saw the digitization of four classrooms in Laamu Atoll Education Centre.

The project was initiated by the local NGO, Women Enhancement.

The BML Community Fund is a program to empower NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.

Since the introduction of the Community Fund, BML has financially supported 80 projects across the country.
