The Ministry of Tourism has urged tourist facilities to submit the most recent news and information on operations for the Maldives Tourism Update reports.
The Ministry requested the information, to include the information on its weekly Maldives Tourism Update reports.
The Maldives Tourism Update report currently offers details of government projects along with weekly tourist arrival data.
Tourism Ministry aims to include the latest updates of the tourist facilities in the report as well.
The ministry is looking to include data on developments and changes at tourist facilities. They also want to include the environmental projects being undertaken by the facilities.
Additionally, Ministry of Tourism intends to include data of industry employees in the report as well. As such, the Ministry will be including information on training activities for employees.
The Ministry also aims to award special awards to employees and provide Maldivian employees opportunities to climb higher within the industry.
Tourism Ministry on December 2022, published an e-book with information on the Maldives' 50 years of tourism history. The book was unveiled by Maizaan Umar Maniku, who was engaged in resort and safari vessel development in the early years of Maldives Tourism.
