Ungoofaaru Road Construction project sees notable progress

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has disclosed that the second phase of the Road Construction Project of Ungoofaaru Island of Raa Atoll is seeing notable progress.

MTCC highlights that the project is well underway. As such, the company notes that they have completed the installation work of stormwater tanks.

MTCC states that installation of settlement tank is ongoing, with 55 percent completion.

Scope of work of the project involve a carriageway of 16,488 square meter, sidewalks, stormwater management system, road lighting and road markings.

The road development project was contracted to MTCC by Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and was mobilized on 12th June 2019.

The project is valued at MVR. 30.3 million.
