Malé City Council has conferred valuable prizes during its first-ever ‘Staff Night’.
The city council’s first-ever staff night was held at the Henveiru Stadium, on November 24.
The ceremony saw the city council presenting valuable prizes to honor the work of their employees.
In addition to the cash prizes conferred to their employees, the city council also awarded five employees with Umrah trips, a return trip to Turkey’s Istanbul, a return trip to Malaysia as well as Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Malé City Council employees were also awarded with exciting prizes from sponsors including private entrepreneurs and several renowned companies which offered resort trips and trips to CROSSROADS Maldives.
Free medical checkups were also awarded to some employees.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu had expressed gratitude to the sponsors.
He also expressed appreciation and gratitude to the invaluable contributions by Malé City Council employees.
The Malé City Council was initially incepted as the Malé Municipality, back in 1956, during the reign of Sultan Muhammad Fareed Al Awwal.
