Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has congratulated the new Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya.

FM Shahid sent a congratulatory message to Dr. Alfred Mutua on his appointment as the new Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya on Friday.

In his message, FM Shahid expressed pleasure in conveying warm congratulations on Dr. Mutua’s appointment to the post.

Highlighting that the Maldives and Kenya have “always” enjoyed “warm” and “friendly” relations stemmed from mutual respect and trust, FM Shahid expressed confidence that the friendly relations and cooperation that exist between the two countries will be further enhanced during his term in office.

FM Shahid went on to express interest to work closely with the new Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya as well as the government of Kenya to further solidify cooperation in both the bilateral and multilateral spheres.

The Maldivian minister also conveyed his best wishes for Dr. Mutua’s good health and well-being, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity for the Kenyan people.

FM Shahid ended his message by offering assurances of his highest consideration.
