The ‘Thundi’ harbor development project in Gan island of Laamu atoll, is well underway.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the project is progressing smoothly.
MTCC revealed that the concrete work for the quay wall as well as the installation of harbor pavement are currently ongoing as part of the project.

The concrete work for the quay wall as well as the installation of harbor pavement are at 97 percent and 49 percent completion respectively.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to construct a 360-meter breakwater and a quay wall measuring 310 meters.
Further, a harbor pavement measuring 2,501 square meters is also included under the scope of the project.
MTCC will also be building a bride and installing street lights.
The project is valued at MVR 33.4 million.
