Maldives Police Service (MPS) is seeking public assistance to identify and locate a suspect linked to theft.
The police institution publicized a video on Sunday, showing a masked man dressed in a graphic t-shirt and pair of dark denim jeans, walking down a street.
The man seen in the video is suspected of making a purchase from a Visa Debit card inside a bag that was lost by the owner, on the street.
The case is being probed by the Maafannu Police desk.
MPS revealed that their efforts to identify and locate the man, have been to no avail so far, with which they have sought public help.
As such, the police institution has urged the public to reach out and contact MPS through 3322111 or the Maafannu Police desk through 9660183 if any information regarding the wanted individual, is attained.
