First Lady Fazna Ahmed has concluded her three-day visit to Fuvahmulah City.

The First Lady visited Fuvahmulah City to participate in the activities held in the City to mark the International Day for Older Persons at a national level.

FL Fazna departed to Fuvahmulah City to attend the festivities of the day on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the First Lady attended the official ceremony held to mark the International Day for Older Persons.The ceremony was conducted in Fuvahmulah City’s native dialect and included a series of information sessions.

Prior to this, a local style breakfast was served to the attendees.

Information was provided to the special invitees, guests and senior citizens who attended the ceremony, regarding nutritional requirements for senior citizens, mental health, fraud prevention as well as financial well-being for elderly persons.

The FL also attended the final match and awards ceremony of the Ground Golf Tournament held to commemorate the International Day of Older Persons.

On Friday, the First Lady met with the oldest male and female citizens residing in Fuvahmulah City. During these visits, the First Lady inquired about their well-being and spoke with them on a range of topics. 

This year’s International Day for Older Persons revolves around the theme “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World”.

First Lady Fanza concluded her trip and returned to Male' on Saturday morning.
