First Lady Fazna Ahmed has made home visits and met with the oldest male and female citizens residing in Fuvahmulah City.

The First Lady met with the oldest male and female citizens residing in Fuvahmulah City, on Friday morning as part of her ongoing trip to the city.

During these visits, the First Lady inquired about their well-being and spoke with them on a range of topics. She visited two of the elderly senior citizens from the list of ten seniors, who she is scheduled to visit under the program.

The First Lady is currently in Fuvahmulah City to participate in the activities held in the City to mark the International Day for Older Persons at a national level.

FL Fazna departed to Fuvahmulah City to attend the festivities of the day on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the First Lady attended the official ceremony held to mark the International Day for Older Persons.The ceremony was conducted in Fuvahmulah City’s native dialect and saw a series of information sessions held.

Prior to this, breakfast was served to the attendees.

Information was provided to the special invitees, guests and senior citizens who attended the ceremony, regarding nutritional requirements for senior citizens, mental health, fraud prevention as well as financial well-being for elderly persons.

The FL also attended the final match and awards ceremony of the Ground Golf Tournament held to commemorate the International Day of Older Persons.

This year’s International Day for Older Persons revolves around the theme “Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World”.

First Lady Fanza is scheduled to conclude her trip to Fuvahmulah City and return to Male' on Saturday.
