Community social group in Fuvahmulah City, IBAMA has shared the challenges they face in their work, with First Lady Fazna Ahmed.

As part of her ongoing visit to the southern city, FL Fazna sat down with members of IBAMA on Wednesday evening.

The meeting saw the community social group sharing the details of their activities in the city, as well as the challenges they faced in carrying out their work, with the first lady.

They went on to shed light on the support they received from IBAMA's related institutions in the city.

Highlighting that establishing such an organization reduced the obstacles to resolving societal issues, IBAMA members stated that they now have clear directions and the capacity to find swift solutions through teamwork.

Stating that IBAMA has given her hope, FL Fazna expressed gratitude to see that many issues that could not previously be accomplished by individual authorities were now being accomplished through the institutions' collective effort.

The meeting was attended by Aishath Mohamed Didi, Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services, other senior officials of the ministry as well as members of the city’s Women's Development Committee (WDC).

IBAMA is responsible for categorizing and providing social security and assistance to those in need, ensuring social security and working with all stakeholders to build a healthy community. Specialized teams carry out these responsibilities in islands and cities, excluding Malé City.
