King of Bahrain hosts special luncheon in honor of Maldives' First Couple
Their visit marks the first time a Maldivian Head of State is making a state visit to Bahrain
The King of Bahrain hosts a special luncheon in honour of the President and First Lady
King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has hosted a special luncheon in honor of the Maldivian First Couple.
The King of Bahrain hosted the luncheon in honor of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed as well as the Maldivian delegation of senior government officials, on Thursday.
The luncheon was held at the Al-Qudaibiya Palace in Manama.
As part of the visit, President Solih and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa earlier held discussions during a one-on-one meeting.
This was followed by the signing of four key agreements between the government of Maldives and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Further, senior officials from both countries engaged in bilateral discussions during the visit.
The First Couple’s four-day state visit to Bahrain comes upon the invitation of the Bahraini King.
They will return to Maldives on October 8.
