Vice President Faisal Naseem has reiterated the administration’s commitment to promoting vocational education and training.
VP Naseem reiterated the administration’s commitment on Monday at a meeting with the senior management of the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT).
The meeting with the senior management of MIT was held at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the Vice President discussed ways in which the administration could assist the institution in addressing its challenges with the MIT officials.
The Vice President also spoke about the importance of vocational education and training, especially for school-leavers, and recognized the institution’s work in the sector.
The meeting saw MIT officials sharing the challenges they face with the Vice President. They spoke about the growing need for training more people in technical fields.
A total of 450 students are currently enrolled at Maldives Institute of Technology, of which 150 will graduate soon.
The institution also accommodates those who need special attention.
