Maldivian team ready for SABA championship, asks for support from fans
A total of five countries will compete in the tournament along with Maldives

The national women's team is ready for the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Championship to be held in Maldives this month.

The officials from the team said this at a press conference held prior to the commencement of the tournament.

Speaking at the meeting, Shiura, who is part of the national women's team, said the whole team was ready for the tournament. Shiura said that in the past, tournaments have always been played abroad and they have to play against the fans of the host country. However, when the tournament is held in Maldives, it will be encouraging to play in front of many fans, she said.

But this time, when Maldives has this opportunity, we would like to ask as many people as possible to come and fill the Social Center Indoor. With support for the Dhivehi national team. That will be a great encouragement, and it is very desirable to produce a good result with that support.

Especially when such a big tournament is played in Maldives, all the players of the team want the people of Maldives to come and support the team. Rishma also said that she has played without support in previous tournaments abroad. Therefore, when the tournament is held in Maldives, with the help of the fans, good results will be achieved.

The team has also conducted training sessions in India and Thailand in preparation for the tournament. Rishma said the training camp in India has changed the team a lot.

The training we did in India actually saw a lot of changes. For all the players. With the training in India, we have come this far. Now I believe you will see a big difference.
