Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the women’s national basketball team of Maldives.

The Vice President met with the women’s national basketball team competing in the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Women’s Championship on Tuesday.

The meeting was held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE).

During the meeting, VP Naseem encouraged the team to strive for their best at the games. He also spoke about the administration’s commitment to developing sports further and providing more opportunities for Maldivian athletes.

The Vice President wished women’s national basketball team success.

Moreover, the meeting also saw the Vice President handing out jerseys to the team members.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof, and senior officials from the ministry and the Maldives Basketball Association, attended the meeting.
