Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with Singapore’s Minister of State at the Prime Minister’s Office, Desmond Tan.
VP Naseem met the State Minister on Thursday afternoon, as part of his unofficial visit to Singapore.
The Vice President and the State Minister discussed Maldives-Singapore relations and highlighted areas for future collaboration between the two countries.
In this regard, they spoke about areas of mutual interest, including human resource development, international cooperation, economic and business cooperation, as well as enhancing people-to-people contact.
Following the meeting, the Vice President visited Sustenir agricultural production in Singapore and inquired about their operations, where they grow smart vertical farms in high-rise buildings in urban areas, to reduce carbon footprint while maximizing impact on local communities.
