The national youth football team has performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia to prepare for this month's AFC Under-20 Asian Cup qualifiers.
The team left for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday night for a training camp in preparation for qualifying. The team also performed Umrah before the start of the training sessions. The Maldivian team performed Umrah on Thursday.
Under-20 coach Ahmed Shakir (Shakitte) thanked the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Sri Lankan Football Association for providing the opportunity.
The AFC Under-20 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers will be held from 10 to 18 this month.
