Vice President Faisal Naseem has inaugurated the "Sagaafee Masakkaiy Dhiruvun" exhibition in Kulhudhuffushi City.
“Sagaafee Masakkaiy Dhiruvun” was inaugurated on Saturday, during the vice president’s ongoing tour of two islands in Haa Dhaal atoll.
It was kicked off as part of the celebrations to mark International Youth Day 2022.
Prior to the launching of the exhibition, VP Naseem earlier attended the official function held to mark the occasion in Jalaluddin School.
At the function, VP Naseem inquired about the creative arts and craftsmanship on display.
The exhibition, which showcases many handicraft items ranging from the work of blacksmiths to wood carvings and from embroidery to jewelry-making, seeks to motivate youth to learn the rich craftsmanship and history of the country.
The exhibition paves the opportunity for members of the youth community to observe the skills of artisans.
The visit to Kulhudhuffushi City is VP Naseem’s first leg of the trip. He visited the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital and met with the senior management and staff.
At the hospital, VP Naseem applauded the exemplary services of the staff and urged them to continue providing the region’s best possible healthcare services.
The vice president also inquired about the challenges facing the hospital.
He also visited the patients at the hospital and inquired about their well-being.
The visit also saw VP Naseem inspecting the progress of work to upgrade the hospital.
