A man has been arrested over allegations of torching a campaign office, in Kulhudhuffushi City.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the suspect was arrested at around 02:55pm on April 25.
The suspect is a 31-year-old Maldivian man.
MPS confirmed that he was brought into police custody under a court order.
The police institution also revealed that further investigations are currently underway.
However, no additional details have been disclosed by the authorities.
The 31-year-old is accused of torching a campaign office in the northern city of Kulhudhuffushi, on April 16.
