The shore protection project in Rathafandhoo island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll, has been mobilized.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the GDh. Rathafandhoo shore protection project was mobilized on August 7.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to construct a revetment measuring 461 meters.
Further, a breakwater measuring 240 meters will also be constructed.
The project, contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, required beach filling operations of 6,600 cubic meters as well.
The project is valued at MVR 27.8 million.
