A body of an elderly woman has been found on the eastern shores of Dhiddhoo island in Haa Alif Atoll.

The 80-year-old’s body was sighted Friday morning, and the police said it was reported to them at about 9:15, 

Police did not reveal when the body was discovered or by whom. 

Officers also refused to answer any questions about the circumstances of the sighting, or if the body had any obvious signs of abuse or assault.
