Man injured following assault with sharp object in Baa Atoll

A man has been injured after being assaulted with a sharp object in an uninhabited island in Baa Atoll.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) disclosed that a violent confrontation between two expatriates in an uninhabited island at Baa Atoll saw one injured after he was assaulted with a sharp object. As such, the police received the report of the altercation in an uninhabited island at Baa Atoll, at around 09:57pm on Thursday night.
MPS states that a 45-year-old man was assaulted, in the incident .
Police stated that the man was being treated at B. Eydhafushi Hospital. Citing the hospital, MPS revealed that the man received serious injuries.
MPS has arrested a 43 year old expatriate, believed to have made the assault.
The case is under further investigation.
