The newly appointed members of the National Scout Council have briefed President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on their future plans to further the scout movement.
The briefing was done during a meeting held at the President’s Office on Thursday, where he met the members of the Scout Association of the Maldives.
At the meeting the President also conferred Warrant of Appointment certificates to the newly appointed members of the National Scout Council.
Congratulating the newly appointed National Scout Council members, the President asked them about their future plans to develop the scout movement.
The President was then briefed on the programs planned by the members, who also shared concerns revolving around their planned activities.
The President was also briefed on the details of the scout jamboree planned for this year 2022.
Offering assurance of his commitment to support the scout movement, President Solih pledged that his administration will take the necessary steps to address their present concerns as well.
