The harbor development project site in Maakurathu island of Raa atoll, has been mobilized.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that they mobilized the harbor development project site on the island on Wednesday.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to dredge 45,024 cubic meters of harbor and construct a breakwater measuring 140 meters.
Further, MTCC is also required to construct a quay wall measuring up to 129 meters.
A revetment measuring 85 meters and a groyne of 28 meters will also be constructed under the project.
The contract also entails the installation of pavement measuring 641 square meters.
The project, contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is valued at MVR 26.67 million.
