Vice President Faisal Naseem has concluded his official visit to Fuvahmulah City.
VP Naseem departed to Fuvahmulah City, for a two-day official visit on Thursday evening. He returned to Male' City on Saturday evening.
During his visit to the City, VP Naseem attended a session of the Ihya Forum held coinciding with the fasting month of Ramadan.
Additionally, the Vice President commenced the project to develop a Centre for the Holy Quran in Fuvahmulah City.
During this visit, VP Naseem met with the members of Fuvahmulah City Council. He held extensive discussions on the ongoing developmental projects in the city. As such, the discussions at the meeting were mainly focused on the ongoing road development project, creating job opportunities for the youth, as well as improving healthcare and education sector services.
Additionally, the council members discussed ways to resume stalled PSIP projects with the Vice President.
Speaking about the administration’s efforts to create new jobs, the Vice President asked the council members to exercise impartiality while hiring people for the available jobs. He also went on to speak about the importance of creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and the underprivileged.
