Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with members of the Fuvahmulah City Council and held extensive discussions on the ongoing developmental projects in the city.
The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Fuvahmulah City Council, on Saturday afternoon.
President's Office disclosed that the discussions at the meeting were mainly focused on the ongoing road development project, creating job opportunities for the youth, as well as improving healthcare and education sector services.
Additionally, the council members discussed ways to resume stalled PSIP projects with the Vice President .
Speaking about the administration’s efforts to create new jobs, the Vice President asked the council members to exercise impartiality while hiring people for the available jobs. He also went on to speak about the importance of creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and the underprivileged.
The Vice President was accompanied at the meeting by Dr. Ahmed Zahir, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, who spoke about the Ihya Forum held on Friday evening in Fuvahmulah City to renew and revive the spirit of Ramadan. And he thanked the City Council for their support in organizing the event.
