Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that unprecedented levels of sports development projects are currently ongoing at different stages across the country.

He stated this while speaking at a function held at the table tennis hall of the Hulhumalé Sports Mini Complex to officially unveil the logo of the upcoming "South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship 2022", on Monday.

In his remarks, VP Naseem reiterated the administration’s commitment to sports development.

And he touched on the administration’s accomplishments in sports development and highlighted the numerous projects underway across the country to further develop the sports sector.

Underscoring the administration’s commitment to encouraging the youth to pursue careers in sports, the Vice President described sports as something that helps promote community development.

Vice President in his speech assured the administration’s commitment to ensure the sports industry develops well .

South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship 2022 is a three-day tournament for junior athletes. The competition is held in the Maldives from 09th May 2022 to 12th May 2022.

The competition would feature teams from seven countries in the South Asia region; Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and the Maldives.
