Hoong Wee Teck, the Commissioner of Police of Singapore Police Force has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem.
The Commissioner of Police of Singapore Police Force called on VP Naseem on Tuesday.
The meeting saw VP Naseem and Commissioner Teck engaging in discussions on potential areas of cooperation especially in capacity building and creating a police force that is focused on the community.
Further, they agreed to share acquired knowledge and experience after speaking on the similar challenges faced by the police forces of both Maldives and Singapore.
Speaking on the long-standing bilateral relations between both countries, VP Naseem expressed gratitude to the government of Singapore for its continuous support and assistance to the Maldives Police Service (MPS) throughout the years. The meeting was joined by Ahmed Latheef, Foreign Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mohamed Hameed, Commissioner of Police.
