G.Dh. Faresmaathodaa Airport Project
Asphalt concrete laying works for G.Dh. Faresmaathodaa Airport runway wearing course are currently ongoing, states the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
MTCC was handed over the Faresmaathodaa Airport Project, by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 10th November 2020.
The company commenced work on this project on 1st January 2021.
The scope of the project includes, construction of 1200m runway, taxiway, apron with shoulder and service roads with all operational facilities. As such, a fire pad and fire road, construction of a fire building and a terminal building, will also be done under the project.
The value of the project is MVR 144.8 million.
