MTCC has commenced physical work on H.A. Baarah Channel and Maintenance dredging project
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced physical work on H.A. Baarah Channel and Maintenance dredging project.
The work on this project was commenced on April 01.
Baarah Channel and Maintenance dredging project was handed over to MTCC by Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, and the agreement was signed on April 06, 2021.
A ceremony was held on Sunday to mark the commencement of physical works of Baarah Channel and Maintenance Dredging project. Member of Parliament for Baarah constituency Ahmed Abdulla, MTCC's CEO Adam Azim, and Senior officials of MTCC took part in the ceremony.
Scope of this project includes, channel dredging operations of 79,100cbm, existing basin maintenance dredging of 8,600, as well as supply and installation of navigational aids
The value of the project is MVR 12.17 million.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 120 days.
