President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has been gifted with a book on mental health.

Authored by journalist Ahmed Saail Ali, the book titled "Edhuvas Geneveyne” which roughly translates to say “that day can be brought back ”, was presented to the President on Wednesday, at a meeting held at the Presidents office .

At the meeting , the President applauded the journalist’s work, and discussed with him , the mental health situation in the Maldives.

He went on to assure the public that the government is working to expand services currently available at the “Mental Health Center.”

The meeting also saw the journalist briefing the President on some of the difficulties and challenges a person struggling with mental health problems go through.

Further,the journalist noted that the book carries the purpose of encouraging and guiding people who suffer from similar issues to work towards recovery.

According to Saail, the book is based on his own experiences.
