Discussions have been held on improving collaboration between Maldives and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on environmental issues
As part of his ongoing visit to the middle-eastern nation, VP Naseem met with the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri on Tuesday.
The courtesy call came on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2022.
The meeting saw the UAE Minister extensively discussing ways to improve collaboration with Maldives , on environmental issues.
Further, VP Naseem also extended an invitation for her to visit the Maldives.
VP Naseem is currently on an official trip to UAE, accompanied by Minister of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology Aminath Shauna and the Secretary of Foreign Relations at the President's Office Ibrahim Hood.
