Dhigali Maldives welcomed its first visitors on June 1.
Owned and operated by a local company, Coral Edge, Dhigali Maldives is surrounded by a house-reef and is located in Raa atoll, and can be reached by a seaplane from Velana International Airport in just 40 minutes.
The resort consists 180 accommodation options including beach bungalows near the shore, beach villas with a pool, over water villas, lagoon villas with a pool and special suites for its high-class guests; all with rooms with minimalist and neutral décor, warm tones of browns and creams, modern furnishings and plush natural fabrics. It also has a children’s club, a high-class spa and a private swimming pool and gym. The resort has seven restaurants; Battuta, Capers, deli, Jade, Fari, Faali and East.
The restaurants in Dhigali Maldives will ‘have a particular focus for Asian dishes’.
While it has a house reef in swimming distance on one side of the island, the other side has a large lagoon for watersports. Its diving centre is managed by Euro-Divers, and will offer “all sorts of activities”.
