Staff of Bank of Maldives held a clean-up event at Male' and Hulhumale' phase two.

BML states that their staff held a clean-up event this Friday to coincide with the International Day of Happiness celebrated annually on 20th March. They cleaned up Male' Swimming Track and Hulhumale’ Phase 2 beach area.

The event was held from 6:00 am to 9:00 am, in partnership with Swimming Association of Maldives, Parley, Dive Desk and Dive Club Maldives.

BML says that a total of 660 kg of debris and waste was collected from both locations, including 84 kg of plastic which was delivered to Parley for recycling.

Over 80 BML volunteers participated in the event.

Last year, BML celebrated the day by doing various activities to support local communities in V. Felidhoo, L. Fonadhoo and HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.
