STELCO Chairman, Mohamed Rasheed

Chairman of State Electric Company (STELCO), Mohamed Rasheed has died of a heart attack.

Family of the deceased revealed that Rasheed, 71, died while receiving treatment after suffering from a heart attack at ADK Hospital, on Sunday afternoon.

Rasheed was appointed Chairman of the state utilities company during February 2019, before which he had filled the positions of Assistant Managing Director and Chief Executive Office of the company.

He had served in STELCO for over 50 years after joining during 1971.
