BML Community Fund: winning proposals for fourth quarter publicized
Five winning proposals are selected during each quarter

The Bank of Maldives has announced five winning proposals for the fourth quarter of 2021, under the bank’s ‘Aharenge Bank Community Fund’ initiative.
The community fund campaign aims to empower individuals to contribute to the society by conducting sustainable community projects across the Maldives.
The national bank’s Manager of Public Relations Mohamed Saeed revealed that BML had received a lot of great proposals under the initiative of which five winning proposals have been chosen.
He stated that the main focus of BML’s Community Fund is to continue delivering projects that benefit the communities and congratulated the winners and express our appreciation to the individuals and NGOs for their ideas, initiating these projects and working tirelessly to deliver them projects on time.
BML has supported initiatives benefitting the communities of 60 islands so far, and that the bank extends appreciation to individuals and NGOs for ideas and tireless work to deliver the projects even in the face of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The ‘Aharenge Bank’ Community Fund is a programme aimed at empowering individuals and NGOs to contribute to local communities through sustainable projects. The project is open for individuals, local NGOs, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), women’s development groups, tech community movements and youth empowerment groups. Government and business entities are not eligible for the program.
Bank of Maldives will be awarding MVR 50,000 to the selected projects under the community fund initiative in the areas of education, environment, sports and community development.
