Vice President Faisal Naseem departed on a trip to Fuvahmulah City on Sunday afternoon.
The vice president will attend the signing ceremony for the coastal protection project during the brief visit.
Further, he will be attending the “ground-breaking” ceremony for a mosque development project, in the harbor area of the city.
The vice president will conclude his two-day trip and return to the capital on Monday.
