A dead has been reported in a road accident in southernmost Addu City.
The deceased has been identified as Mohamed Althaf, 24, native to Hithadhoo district of the southernmost city. The fatal accident is to have occurred at 1am, Monday.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Addu Equatorial Hospital’s media official revealed that the individual was brought into the hospital early Monday with severe and serious wounds. The young man died at around 12:59am.
Althaf attained severe injuries to his head in the accident, where his motorcycle skidded and crashed into a wall while speeding.
Althaf was riding alone at the time of the fatal crash.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) is yet to confirm the details of the fatal accident.
Multiple road accident fatalities have been reported from the southernmost city.
