An individual accused of sexually abusing a minor, has been suspended.
The Ministry of Education issued a statement in connection to the case on Saturday night, assuring the investigations are underway and that the case is being probed as a “serious” one.
The ministry revealed that the required action is being taken and that an individual has been suspended in connection to the case, until the investigation concludes.
The case has also been filed at investigative bodies.
The Maldives Police Service has also launched probes into the case of sexual abuse against the four-year-old girl.
