No injuries were reported in the fire that broke out in a building located in the Maldives capital Malé City on Sunday morning.

The fire broke out on the fourth story of ‘Thundi’ building in Galolhu-ward of the capital city.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)’s Fire and Rescue officers as well as officers of the Maldives Police Service (MPS) were active in extinguishing the fire.

The story in which the fire broke out was an accommodation block for expatriates employed at ‘Seagull Foods’.

Expatriates living in the fourth story of the building were not in the building at the time the fire broke out. Only the fourth story attained damages due to the fire.
