Vice President Faisal Naseem has called on the residents of Maldives to reduce wastage in everyday activities.
Speaking at the “Ekuveri MWSC” event hosted by Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) at Hotel Jen, the VP revealed that as a small island nation, Maldives must always think about the impacts of climate change and push to reduce wastage, in “all facets of life”.
With this being said, he urged the communities nationwide to adapt to lifestyle changes that revolve around reducing wastage and saving water as much as possible while conducting everyday activities.
Acknowledging the efforts put into addressing the needs of the public, training human resources and establishing the required infrastructure by state-owned enterprises as well as MWSC, VP Naseem stated that several efforts ranging from small to large scale projects are undertaken by such enterprises for the benefit of the communities.
He went on to call on all state-owned enterprises to work collaboratively to ease the difficulties of the people, no matter how small the project is.
