Thinadhoo has won the for the STO Minivan Championship’s Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll rounds after defeating Madaveli 3-0.

In Thursday’s match, the Thinadhoo team had controlled the ball for the larger part of the first half, with Ibrahim Shafraq scoring them the first goal during extra time. The first half had ended 1-0.

Thinadhoo had continued to control the game throughout the second half as well. After having kept the Madaveli team on the defence, Thinadhoo’s foreign midfielder, Rodriguez Kareskoff, had scored them their second goal.

Thinadhoo’s winning goal came on the 72nd of the match, where the team’s forward, who has thus far scored seven goals in four matches, swiftly cut across the penalty area and kicked straight into the net.

The team became the atoll champion with a record of no losses. The team will then advance to zone-level rounds of the championship, where it will compete with Nilandhoo, the atoll champion for Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
