With the 426 second doses given on Friday, 264,913 are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the Maldives.
While 12 first doses were administered the same day, a total of 321,764 people have received the first dose.
This means that 56,851 people are currently awaiting their second shots.
The latest vaccination numbers are all from outlying atolls as the centres in Greater Male' Region are closed on Friday's.
The vaccines currently being administered in the Maldives are, Covishield, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Administration of the Covishield vaccination resumed on July 4 after months, after a temporarily halted due to insufficient supply.
Authorities recently began administration of Sinopharm second doses to those who have concluded three weeks since receiving the first jab at Senahiya Hospital.
While the government launched the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive on February 1, authorities recently revealed that they are now in the final stages of the campaign and aim to vaccinate 90 percent of the eligible population by the end of August.
Back in July, the Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC) revealed that over 50 percent of the eligible population in Maldives has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
